A man of many sorrows
Sought sleep
The world outside his shelter
Covered him
A wanderer passed by
and entered
Saw a tangled mind, half asleep
Picked him up, and questioned:
“Why is it that you insist?
Trying to control fate like this?”
I’ve, since long ago
Lost my gift
Now, my vain endeavor
Lays in thought
I tried to find magic
In action and thought
My own false control
Turned me distraught
“Fool, you underestimate
the path and the guidance
the sufferer obtains.”
“Why is it that you insist?
Trying to control fate like this?”
I’ve, since long ago
Lost my gift
Now, my main endeavor
Is in my mind
“Listen to that voice
Resides within
Follow it through
A guide so bright
The painting’s done
Stars now woven
Will not move
Nor will Wyrd shift”
Desperately, I’ve confined myself
In a cell without walls.
But now, with the infinite upon me
with its love so pure
Free!!
A light shines
In the distance
Hills on the horizon
Take form, embrace me
The world spins
Movement and form
Swallowed by me
The timeless being
I was there
At the birth of our world
Old memories
Atavism and instinct
Giants of stone and fire
In long night surrounded me
Built this world
Forged reality
